While some of those households qualify for Medicaid services\, most are modest income households in which partners and adult children also work full time\, yet cannot afford the home care that would provide critically needed relief.Willing Hearts\, Helpful Hands is an innovative community program of the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation that provides a variety of free respite services for family caregivers whose loved one is suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. This program will discuss caregiver services and resources on Long Island\, current support groups\, and education and training on Alzheimer’s and dementia.A representative from the Parker Jewish Institute For Health Care &\; Rehabilitation will have an information table in the library’s lobby on Monday\, July 11 at 2:00 P.M. where materials will be available.ADMISSION FREE – ALL WELCOME
