Film: The Post

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Bethpage Public Library
Auditorium
Starring: Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Alison Brie
Rated: PG-13 (for language and brief war violence); 116 minutes

A cover-up that spanned four U.S. Presidents pushed the country’s first female newspaper publisher, Katharine Graham (Meryl Streep), and a harddriving editor, Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks), to join an unprecedented battle between the press and the government. The Post’s period setting belies its bitingly timely themes, brought compellingly to life by director Steven Spielberg and an outstanding ensemble cast.
