Bethpage Public Library
Meeting Room & Kitchen
Presented by Josh Firer and Shazia Naderi
Date: Wednesday, December 19
Time: 6:00 PM

During this meeting of the Graphic Novel Book Club, we will be celebrating the first graphic novel to ever be nominated for the prestigious Man Booker Prize, Sabrina by Nick Drnaso. Sign up for the Graphic Novel Book Club at the Reference Desk, where extra copies of the graphic novel will be available, or at bit.ly/bplcomics.

Sabrina depicts a modern world devoid of personal interaction and responsibility, where relationships are stripped of intimacy through glowing computer screens. An indictment of our modern state, Drnaso contemplates the dangers of a fake news climate. Timely and articulate, Sabrina leaves you gutted, searching for meaning in the aftermath of disaster.
