The Traditions, singing a cappella, will entertain you with the classic sounds of oldies, doo wop, 50s and 60s hits, and beyond. They have performed throughout the tri-state area with many other wellknown groups, including The Platters, The Drifters, The Five Satins, and Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge. The show’s arrangements are by Chris Mahoney, who sings bass, and the group also includes second tenor Chris Petri, first tenor Lou DiCarlo, baritone Joe Clements, and lead tenor John Streich.

This show is both a great introduction to the world of classic country music and a trip down memory lane for those who already enjoy the genre. It features songs by everyone from the Carter Family to Jimmie Rodgers, Patsy Cline to Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, and even Taylor Swift. Tennessee Walt, aka Gayden Wren—a journalist and a 40-year member of the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island—will perform, and provide background for, country favorites from the 1920s through the 1950s, arranged for voice and piano.
