Yoga: Morning Session 1
Yoga is an exercise that can benefit everyone - all ages and genders with benefits to both mental and physical health. Marie DiPrimo will once again be conducting two sessions of her very popular Yoga classes on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. Payment for all classes is required upon registration at Reference Desk. Participants are required to bring a yoga sticky mat, blanket, yoga belt, and yoga block for all classes.

                        Registration begins Tuesday, September 2

If you are a first-time knitter, please bring 2 straight #10 knitting needles and one skein of worsted weight wool (3 1/2 4 oz. skein). Experienced knitters should bring the project you are currently working on, or the materials for a new project you'd like to begin.

The music and lyrics of Frank Loesser will be performed by this talented outstanding ensenble of four vocalists, a bass player, a piano accompanist and a narrator, under the direction Walter Levine. Wonderful songs from shows such as Guys and Dolls, Most Happy Fellow, How to Succeed in Business, Where’s Charlie? are all highlighted with lively narrative blending the composer’s life and problems associated with creating the songs. An unusual and delightful afternoon – don’t miss it.

Admission is free and Bethpage School District #21 residents will be seated first; out-of-area residents as space permits. A Bethpage Library card is a ticket of admission for the cardholder and a companion.

Senior Circle - Medicaid and Estate Planning

One of the many issues and concerns that the senior population have to deal with are Medicaid and estate planning.

Mr. Petillo will be here at the library to discuss protecting the equity in your home, Medicaid eligibility rules, and the use of irrevocable trusts, as well as the recent significant changes to New York State estate tax laws.

This educational program is intended to be an open dialogue with seniors bringing their questions and leaving with answers and a better understanding of the topic.
