Yoga: Morning Session I
Yoga is an exercise that can benefit everyone - all ages and genders with benefits to both mental and physical health. Marie DiPrimo will once again be conducting two sessions of her very popular Yoga classes on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. Payment for all classes is required upon registration at Reference Desk. Participants are required to bring a yoga sticky mat, blanket, yoga belt and yoga block for all classes.

TAX TIME IS COMING and AARP Tax Help in available at the Bethpage Library for the community for taxpayers with low and moderate incomes, with special attention to those age 60 and over.

This excellent Tax Assistance Program is sponsored by AARP and the IRS. Expertly trained volunteers will be at the library to help answer your questions and assist in filling out tax forms. Please bring last year's return; W-2 forms from each employer; unemployment compensation statements; SSA-1099 forms if you were paid Social Security Benefits; all 1099 forms (1099 INT; 1099 DIV; 1099-B, etc.) showing interest and/or dividends and documentation showing original purchase price of sold assets; Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents; dependent care provider information; forms indicating federal income tax paid.

Due to the increasing frequency of identity theft, the IRS now requires that tax preparers make positive identification of taxpayers by photo ID and Social Security cards. In addition the IRS mandates that for a joint tax return, both parties need to be present.

Please note: In lieu of a social security card, taxpayers may present their SSA Statement.

Please be prepared to furnish both forms of identification when you arrive to have your return prepared.

Knitting @ the Library (Evening Classes)
Plan on joining talented instructor Marie DiPrimo for another series of classes for continuing or beginning knitters. What a great way to spend a morning or evening and end up with a project to be proud of! The first portion of every class will be devoted to teaching a specific knitting technique. Please bring scrap yarn and any size needles for this part of the class. The remainder of the class will be devoted to working on individual projects. If you are a first-time knitter, please bring 2 straight #10 knitting needles and one skein of worsted weight wool (3 ½-4 ounce skein). Experienced knitters bring the project you are currently working on or the materials for a new project you’re aching to begin. Don’t miss the fun, information and camaraderie! Classes fill fast so don’t delay.

The Long Island Cabaret Theatre, under the direction of Gary Dana and Geri DeJohn and musical director Sid Cherry, will present a new musical show entitled “The Music of Our Lives-The Bucket List!” This is an exuberant musical about all the things we want to do in our lives while we have the chance. The show features the talented troupe of 30 singers and dancers - the music and dancing are fantastic as is always. Don’t miss it!
