Smart Phones 101 8/5/2015 2:00:00 PM
Smart Phones 101
Presented by Seniornet

Everybody has a smart phone these days, and considering the expenses associated with these types of phones, you want to get the most out of them. It can be especially confusing and frustrating, for the novice user.

If you have just acquired a new smart phone, or have had it for a while but are not sure what it can do, then plan on attending this program. A volunteer from Seniornet will be at the library to take the mystery out of buying and using a smart phone. You will learn about cell phone plans, what to look for when purchasing a cell phone, basic operation, setting up email, taking and sending a photo, and texting. This is not a hands on workshop, but there will be time for all your questions to be answered.

SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: The Robin Greenstein Duo 8/5/2015 7:30:00 PM
SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: The Robin Greenstein Duo
Performing Contemporary Folk Music

International singer and songwriter Robin Greenstein brings her unique, incredible talent and experience to our Summer Concert Series. Greenstein’s musical career began under the tutelage of Bob Dylan’s publishing company; since then she has performed extensively for colleges across the country, toured the lively venues of Denmark and Europe at large, and released five albums, two of original music. Many of these originals songs have appeared in many folk music compilations. Greenstein has won several folk competitions countrywide, and was a finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, the premier songwriting festival in the country. Loved for her blend of folk, pop, blues, and country in acoustic, Greenstein has been compared to Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Come listen to her refreshing take on musical standouts and famous ballads in our courtyard.
