Dates: Wednesdays, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, June 7
Cost: $10 for 6-session Class

We will be making a new project during each session using Autodesk Fusion 360. Student’s finished products will be on display here at the library for all our patrons to see, and at the end of all our sessions, students will be able to take home their original projects.

So if you want to learn the basics of engineering and designing using advanced software, make sure to sign up! And remember, space is limited! Eligible 21st Century Credit for SD#21. Students will need a valid e-mail address when signing up (not their school e-mail address).

Let’s Book Out! Young Adult Reading Club—Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Bethpage Public Library
Annex
Join the library’s young adult book club, Let’s Book Out, to read Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker—his classmate and crush—who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah’s voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he’ll find out why. (Summary from publisher.)

During our meeting we get together to snack and discuss the book. You don’t have to finish it, but please be aware the ending might be ruined for you. Everyone who attends the meeting will be entered in a raffle to win a prize.

Copies of the book will be held aside for participants to check out starting on the release day. Grades 6-12 only. Eligible 21st Century Credit for SD#21.

In order to receive 21st Century credit and be guaranteed participation in the programs, eligible students must first register at the Bethpage Library Adult Reference Desk before seeking approval at school. 21st Century credit will only be awarded the first time a student participates in a program.
